Drone Applications – Runners Profiling

Asset & Safe Sport Tracking is using DJI Drones (Spark, Phantom 4 and Inspire 1) to do running profiles for Athletes. Making use of DJI Drones the most stable videos and photo's can assist the athletes coach to determine any flaws or issues with their running technique.

61 Mech Veterans – Tour of Angola: May 2018

On the 7th of May 2018 a group of 106 – 61 Mech Veterans will take the road to Rundu, Namibia for a Reconciliation visit in Southern Angola to meet with some of their “Old” rivalries to whom they battled against in the 1980’s.

Exciting News: The Asset and Safe Sport Trackers can now be viewed LIVE with Google Earth … Just create a Network Link with the relevant Username and Password, set the Refresh Rate and off you go!

News on the SST – Asset Tracker and an extended Battery Pack!

By adding an extended battery pack to the existing SST – Asset Tracker, the battery life has been extended 400%. For a cargo load from Johannesburg to Capetown with a SST – Asset Tracker NOT linked to any external power source and GPS Points obtained every 2 minutes and uploaded every 5 minutes, the trip that took 2.5 days and the battery life dropped from 100% to 20%. When implementing an extended Battery Pack, the battery life dropped from 100% to 80% when reaching Capetown – a 400% increase in the life time of the battery!

Race to End Alzheimers

Follow the “Race to End Alzheimers” runners LIVE from Saturday, the 8tAlzheimers_1h  of August 2015 from Alberton to Durban while they run. Login onto www.safesporttracking.co.za with Username: “REA2015” and Password: “REA2015”. There will be 2 LIVE GPS Trackers to follow, one on the runners and one on the supporting vehicle – The GPS will determine the the runners position every 30 seconds and transmits the information every 2 minutes to the Safe Sport Tracking server in Johannesburg.

The BC Bike Race – Cumberland, Canada

PietLaubscher_MTB Piet Laubscher will compete in The BC Bike Race (British Columbia, Cumberland) from the 27th of June 2015 to the 4th of July 2015. This 7 day stage race takes place in the mountains of British Columbia, Canada and he will cycle with a Safe Sport Tracking - Sports Tracker.

The Distance for this race is 323 km's with climbs over the 11,000 meters and descents of 11,297 meters ... the highest point will be 1,017 meters above sea level.

According to Piet:

Day 0: "On our way to Vancouver to Cumberland via bus and ferry, Rest day today ... Moerse Bang ... Climbs in extreme conditions up to 43%!!!"

Day 1: "Hard day of racing, extremely hot with temperatures between 35 and 40 degrees."
